Counselling
“In oneself lies the whole world,
And if you know how to look and learn,
Then the door is there and the key is in your hand.”
Krishnamurti
My counselling work takes into account my perspective of each individual’s
true nature, which is that of wholeness.
I employ a variety of approaches – integrative (humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive), transpersonal, somatic and expressive so that body, emotions, mind and spirit are acknowledged, honoured and integrated.
Your counselling will be an interactive process in which we can identify your needs, and agree on the focus for your sessions.
Along with talking, your session may incorporate working with body, images, dreams, meditation, visualisation, movement, drawing and practical strategies.
Counselling can bring new levels of awareness, an uncovering of natural resources, abilities and motivations and a change in feelings of inner conflict to a new found sense of inner co-operation. From this place of new awareness, you can take positive action towards creating the future you desire.
If I were to describe the process of counselling, I would liken it to
that of alchemy. My aim is to help you to transform the lead of emotional
debris in the basement of your psyche into the gold of self-realisation.
